Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Topped With Cheese

Ingredients

  • 8 x asparagus spears
  • 4 x bacon rashers
  • 40 g cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp oil

Instructions

Method

  • Step 1
    • Preheat a fan-assisted oven to 200° C.
  • Step 2
    • Wrap one rasher of bacon around two asparagus spears. Try to wind the bacon from top to bottom and cover most of the spears.
    • Place the bacon-wrapped asparagus in a casserole dish.
    • Pour over the oil and use a pastry brush to brush each bundle with oil.
  • Step 3
    • Roast in the oven for 15 minutes.
  • Step 4
    • Meanwhile, grate the cheese. Then, when the 15 minutes is up, sprinkle the cheese over the bacon asparagus bundles.
  • Step 5
    • Set the oven timer for further 15 minutes.
  • Step 6
    • Serve.
