No kneading and no machine, it's crusty on the outside, dense and flavorful on the inside. Carl, Isla and Grandma really like this.

Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 200 ml warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp active yeast

Instructions

Preparation

  • If you have a non-stick loaf tray, skip this step; if you don't, grease a baking sheet and line the tray with the sheet.

Method

  • Step 1
    • Prepare a bread tray of about 23cm in length.
  • Step 2
    • Mix the flour, salt and yeast in a bowl.
    • Add the water and mix in.
  • Step 3
    • Leave in a warm place to rise for 1-2 hours .
  • Step 4
    • Preheat a fan-assisted oven to 180°C.
  • Step 5
    • Bake the bread for 45 mins.
  • Step 6
    • Let it cool a little before slicing.
