Ingredients

  • 250 g flour + extra for dusting
  • 150 ml warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp active yeast
  • 4 tsp oil
  • 1 x clove garlic
  • ½ tsp dried rosemary

Instructions

Preparation

  • To keep the naan bread warm, preheat an oven to the lowest setting.
  • Crush the garlic.

Method

  • Step 1
    • Mix the flour, salt and yeast in a bowl.
    • Add the water and mix in.
  • Step 2
    • Leave in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.
  • Step 3
    • Add the garlic and the rosemary and knead until everything is mixed.
    • Divide into 8 portions.
  • Step 4
    • Roll out each portion into a circular shape of about ½cm thickness.
  • Step 6
    • Heat a small frying pan on medium-high heat. (Number 7.)
    • Add ½ tsp of the sunflower oil to the pan and brush to cover the pan base.
  • Step 7
    • Add one portion of the dough.
    • Cook for 1 min 30 secs on one side, flip, and cook for 1 min 30 secs on the other.
    • Remove from the pan and keep warm in the oven.
    • Repeat until all the bread is cooked.
  • Step 8
    • Serve.
