Pork Chops With Apple Cinnamon Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 x 85 g (2 thin-cut) bone-in pork chops
- 3 tbsp ghee/butter
- 1 x apple
- ½ tbsp honey
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ⅛ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp water

Preparation
- Peel, core, and finely chop the apple.
- Remove the pork chops from the fridge about 15 mins before cooking.
Method
- Step 1
- Rub the salt and pepper onto both sides of the pork chops.
- Step 2
- Melt the ghee/butter in a medium-sized frying pan over medium-high heat. (Number 7.)
- Step 3
- Add the pork chops to the pan when the lard starts sizzling.
- Fry the pork chops for 3 minutes on one side, flip them over and fry for 2 minutes on the other.
- The meat is cooked when the juices run clear: a meat thermometer should read 62°C.
- Wrap the cooked pork chops in aluminium foil and set aside.
- Keep the pan with the juices on the hob.
- Step 4
- Turn the hob heat down to medium. (Number 5.)
- Step 4
- Mix the apple, honey, water and cinnamon in a small bowl and then add the mixture to the frying pan.
- Cook the ingredients for about 5 mins until the apples are soft; stir often.
- Step 5
- To serve, unwrap the pork chops from the aluminium foil and arrange them on plates before pouring equal amounts of the apple cinnamon sauce over each.
