A basic recipe for pork roast for cheaper cuts, gives a medium pork roast for everyone with left-overs.

Ingredients

  • 1.2 kg boneless pork loin
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Remove the meat from the fridge 30 mins before cooking.

Method

  • Step 1
    • Preheat a fan-assisted oven to 200°C.
  • Step 2
    • Lightly score the meat with a sharp knife; stab the thicker bits of fat instead.
    • Rub the salt into the meat on all sides.
    • Rub the meat again with the oil.
  • Step 3
    • Place the tray in the oven.
    • Cook for 50 mins until a meat thermometer reads 70° C or above.
    • Wrap the cooked meat in aluminium foil and rest for 30 mins.
  • Step 4
    • Serve.
