A basic recipe for oven-baked salmon fillet. Fussless salmon.

Salmon Fillet

Ingredients

  • 2 x 200 g salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • Remove the salmon from the fridge 15 mins before cooking.

Method

  • Step 1
    • Pre-heat a fan-assisted oven to 200°C.
  • Step 2
    • Dry the salmon with kitchen paper.
  • Step 3
    • Rub the salt into the sides of the salmon fillets.
    • Place each salmon fillet onto aluminium foil, and make the foil large enough to form a 'packet' around the salmon.
    • Pour 1 tbsp of the oil over each fillet.
    • Seal the 'packets'.
  • Step 4
    • Place the salmon packets on a baking tray and cook for 25 mins.
  • Step 5
    • Serve with or without the foil packet.
