
Tuna burgers with a hint of tomato cooked in the oven. Tasty when hot or cold.

Tuna Burgers

Ingredients
- 230 g tinned tuna
- 120 g onion
- 1 x clove garlic
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 x egg
- pinch salt
- pinch black pepper

Preparation
- Finely chop the onion.
- Drain as much liquid as you can from the tinned tuna.
- Crush the garlic clove.
Method
- Step 1
- Preheat a fan-assisted oven to 180°C.
- Step 2
- Mix the tuna, onion, garlic, tomato puree, egg, salt and black pepper in a bowl.
- Step 3
- Cover the base of a baking tray with a baking sheet.
- Take small amounts of the mixture.
- Squeeze out any excess moisture.
- Shape them into small patties about 5-7 cm in diameter.
- Place each burger carefully on the paper.
- Step 4
- Bake in the oven for 20 mins.
- Step 5
- Serve hot or cold.
